We work with partners to build readiness, preparedness and resilience to help reduce the impact of crisis when they strike.

We stand ready to help partners respond to crises and disasters when requested, delivering support that meets the needs of crisis-affected populations and protects the most vulnerable, both immediately and over the longer term.

We use our multilateral engagement to advocate for reforms and reinforce the international humanitarian system. Our work focused on practical and actionable steps to strengthen adherence to international humanitarian law.

Our support is coordinated and guided by the humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, independence, and neutrality, and by international humanitarian law.

Core to our approach is a focus on gender equality, social inclusion and locally led action, ensuring diverse participation and leadership.
